Our students' accomplishments were front and center during this month's Board of Education meeting on Thursday, October 24. The Board recognized the newly inducted members of the Maple Student Council. Student achievement and growth were outlined in a report on data from the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) and Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). District 30 strives toward belonging and inclusion efforts because one of our priorities is to develop students who are global citizens, people who will go out in the world and create the positive change that we all want.
When I think about District 30 and their academics I'm very proud and very happy to go to such a good school, with good education, and have that chance.
One reason I was most excited to come to District 30 is the line in our Mission and Vision that says,
'We honor childhood.' I find that so beautiful and something that every school should do."
