Step 1: New Student Enrollment Requirements for Northbrook/Glenview School District 30

To start the process of registering your child/children in District 30, please check the district boundary map to confirm your residence is located within the District 30 boundary. Once this has been established, please contact Theresa Blackburn at 847-400-8988 or tblackburn@district30.org, for the passcode to access the residency form. To verifiy residency, you will need digital copies of the paperwork as outlined below. This paperwork should include your child’s original birth certificate or passport as well as the required proof of residency. 

2023-24 Residency Form

Establishing Student Residency:

Parent(s) and/or guardians(s) must provide proof of residency at: kindergarten registration and when entering as a new student for any other grade. The following information must be provided prior to the first day of the student's attendance.  The required documents are as follows:

An original certified or registered birth certificate, with raised seal, or passport for the student

And the following:

CATEGORY 1 (ONE document required)

  • Most recent property tax bill and proof of payment, e.g. canceled check (homeowners)
  • Executed Agreement of Sale (contract on home) and proof of closing documents (warranty deed)
  • Original signed and dated lease and proof of last month's payment, e.g. canceled check or receipts (renters).  The District must have a valid lease on file at the District Office at all times.  When your lease expires, it is expected that you bring in a copy of your new or renewed lease.
AND

CATEGORY II
(TWO documents showing proper address required, you have 30 days to provide this, one MUST be a driver's license)

  • Driver's license (issued to current D30 address; you have 30 days to provide this)
  • Most recent cable television and/or credit card bill
  • Pay check stub
  • Current homeowners/rental insurance policy and premium payment receipt
  • Most recent gas, electric, and/or water bill

Merely sharing the documents listed in this process does not guarantee admission.  The District reserves the right to conduct investigations that may require a home visit or additional documents to verify residency.

Step 2: Create a Parent Portal account and complete online registration

Once the district office has reviewed and accepted your residency, you will receive a letter with your Access ID and Access Password. This will include a step by step guide on how to create a Parent Portal Account. After you create your account, please click Forms in the left-hand navigation and fill in the required information.

Step 3: Return Required Forms to School

  • Dental Exam Form or Waiver - Required for: New Students, Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade

Returning Students

If your child has attended District 30 in the past, but is not currently enrolled in District 30, please follow the New Student steps above.

Step 1: Complete online registration in Parent Portal

In Spring, the District Office will notify parents when online registration will begin for the next school year. Registration will be accessible only in Parent Portal, under Forms.

Step 2: Return Required Forms to School

Preschool & Kindergarten

District 30 Kid Connection Preschool

District 30 Kid Connection Preschool is held at Willowbrook School. The preschool program is held 5 days a week for 2.5 hours a day and follows the District 30 school calendar.

The 3-year-old student drop-off beginning at 8:40 a.m.
Class starts at 8:50 a.m.
Class is dismissed at 11:20 a.m.

The 4-year-old student drop-off beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Class starts at 12:40 p.m.
Class is dismissed at 3:10 p.m.

Each classroom serves up to 16 students, including children with special needs and same-age peers. If enrollment numbers exceed classroom space, we will institute a waitlist.

Kid Connection Preschool is designed to support children’s social, language, pre-academic, and motor development. The program is based on best practices in early childhood education, aligned to the Illinois Early Childhood Learning Standards, and designed to provide students with readiness skills required for the District 30 kindergarten program. Staffing includes a certified early childhood teacher and 2 program assistants. There is support from a speech-language pathologist, school psychologist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist.

2024-2025

Preschool tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $4,570.00

New student intake for the 2024-2025 school year will take place online beginning on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. for new preschool students.

Pre-registration for the 2023-2024 school year will take place online beginning on Tuesday, January 18, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. for new preschool students.

New Kindergarten Student Intake  Information

District 30's full-day Kindergarten Program is held at Willowbrook School, 2500 Happy Hollow Rd, Glenview, IL 60026 and Wescott School, 1820 Western Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062. In order to be eligible for kindergarten, your child must have been born on or before September 1, 2019, as evidenced by an official birth certificate or passport. Copies of an official birth certificate can be obtained at the County Clerk's office in the county where your child was born. In Cook County, the certificate can be obtained from the County Clerk's Office, 188 North Clark, Chicago, Illinois 60602; or the Skokie Courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road in Skokie, Room 149, Ph. 847-470-7233. You will also need to prove residency.
