Hours

Monday - Friday 8:40-12:00 and 12:45-3:25

Schedule

The Willowbrook library operates on a combined fixed and flexible schedule. All grade levels visit the library each week for story time, information skills lessons, book checkout, and Makerspace activities.  At times throughout the year, certain grade levels may visit the library more often to research and work on specific units of study.

Check Out

The library is open everyday for book exchange. As soon you finish a book, bring it back to the library to exchange it for a new title. You do not have to wait until your scheduled library day to visit the library. All students have a two week check out period. We want you reading a wide variety of books as often as you can!

Overdue Books

Overdue notices are sent out after books are more than one week late. If after one month the library materials are not returned, then the library will ask for payment.

Online Subscription Resources

Students may access several online subscription databases including those listed below. These may be accessed directly from the Online Library Catalog link on our library website. Usernames and passwords are required to log in from home. Please ask your classroom teacher or Mrs. Eichmiller for your password.

  • PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next
  • Scholastic Go
  • World Book Online

Birthday Book Club

Please consider joining our Birthday Book Club. Every month birthday letters are sent home. Parents are offered an opportunity to make a monetary donation to the library in honor of their child's birthday. Any amount is appreciated. Students are then invited to choose one of our new preselected books and have their name placed on a bookplate inside. The birthday child is the first student to check out the selected book.

Volunteers

We welcome parent volunteers interested in helping in our library. If you would like to volunteer to assist in the library during your child's scheduled library time, please email Mrs. Eichmiller. Volunteers assit with Makerspace crafts and projects. At times, we may have special projects that require additional help. You can find a list of volunteer opportunties here.

If you are interested in helping, please contact the librarian, April Eichmiller.
