District 30 Convenes for All-School Sing at Winter Concert on December 20

Wescott and Willowbrook students also participate in a school sing-a-long and class parties in the afternoon of December 20, before leaving for winter break, which begins December 23 and ends on January 3, 2020!

All District 30 children, teachers, and staff members will join together at Maple School's cafetorium at 9:30 a.m., Friday, December 20 for a concert and holiday sing-a-long. Ben Clemons' band, Renee Yoo's orchestra, and Decima Panitch's choir will perform seasonal tunes, while the audience is encouraged to sing-a-long!

This annual event has taken place for over 25 years, and it will be the first time for many of the younger students to have a chance to participate in an activity in the new Maple School cafetorium, which has more space than the former Maple east gym, where the concert and sing-a-long used to be held!

At the concert's culmination, Willowbrook and Wescott School music teachers Kurt Barker and Quentin Coaxum will also lead everyone in favorite tunes like "Jingle Bells."
