September 22 Board Brief

September 22 Board Brief

Dear District 30 Family,

I hope this finds you and your loved ones doing well. Thank you all for a fantastic beginning of the 2022-23 school year! We have enjoyed amazing summer weather and are all benefitting from reclaiming our ceremonies and traditions.

You can review relevant items from our September 22 Board of Education Meeting in our Board Brief recap. Highlights the announcment that Wescott was named a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School, a public hearing and formal approval of our 2022-23 fiscal budget, and an update on our review of development plans for the former W.W. Grainger, Inc. property, including a five-story, 335-unit luxury apartment complex with 215 1-bedroom, 84 2-bedroom, and 36 3-bedroom units.

We are so proud of our students, teachers and staff, parents and volunteers at Wescott for their amazing honor. Take care, and let me know if you have any questions.

Warmly,

Dr. Brian K. Wegley
Superintendent
