On Friday, January 15, Willowbrook School's PTO will be hosting the live virtual assembly "Dare to Draw" with Emmy Award winner Mark Kistler from PBS children's "The Secret City" - 1985, and "The Imagination Station - 1995.
Mr. Kistler's students include artists and animators at Dreamworks, Pixar, Disney, Sesame Street, Paramount Pictures, Lego's, and Lucasfilm.
Third through fifth-graders will view the assembly from 9:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m., and grades K-2 will view it at 10:15 a.m. To participate, students will need to have paper, a pencil, and a huge smile!
All students, parents, and teachers will be encouraged to follow along and draw with Mr. Kistler's live step-by-step lesson. Participants will draw Turbo Space Ships, or Flying Penguins, or maybe even Sharks and Mermaids.
