Mr. Roy Grober

Wellness/PE Teacher

I have been teaching physical education and health at Wescott School for over 20 years.  I have enjoyed continuing the many Wescott traditions that were started by former Wescott P.E. Teachers, Mrs. Wingfield and Mrs. Zunker.  Some of these traditions include our incredible Field Day set-up, the Halloween Obstacle Course and the game Sharks & Islands.  I am proud to have started more Wescott traditions such as The Wescott Amazing Race, Holiday Treasure Hunts, Cosmic Bowling and the game Chaos.

I have also volunteered countless hours over the past 35 years to the youth of Chicago and Evanston, serving as a baseball, basketball, flag football and soccer coach.  Many of those teams included my sons.  In District 30, I previously coached girl's basketball and softball at Maple.

I have served on the Lew Blond Memorial Run Committee for many years and have served as a scorekeeper/clock keeper at Maple School for over 15 years.
