Wescott's Cultural Arts Committee to Host Virtual Character Building Assembly on March 11

Wescott School PTO's Cultural Arts Committee has scheduled a virtual assembly with Matt Wilhelm on March 11, which is a half-day of school.

Matt Wilhelm will be showing off his exciting BMX tricks while sending empowering messages related to building character. He is a Guinness World Record Holder. His virtual assembly is a perfect mix of entertainment and education. He creatively mixes entertainment with messaging to create a lasting impact.

Students will learn:

  • Resilience: the key to overcoming life’s challenges
  • The importance of positive self-talk
  • Anything is possible with a “Never Give Up” attitude
  • What is a Growth Mindset
  • Safety
  • Bullying: What it is and what it is not
  • The difference between bystanders and up-standers
  • The power of words / Think before you speak
  • Kindness: The solution to stop bullying
