District 30 Alumnus Fiona Hellerman To Appear as a Jeopardy National College Championship Contestant on February 16!

Maple/Willowbrook School Alumnus Fiona Hellerman Will Be featured as a Jeopardy National College Championship Contestant on February 16!

Ms. Hellerman is currently a student at Tulane University and one of her colleagues is Maple Music teacher Decima Panitch's daughter Sarah Panitch (Who is another awesome Wescott/Maple alumnus).

Fiona Hellerman of Glenview will appear as a contestant on the Jeopardy National College Championship on Wednesday, February 16, on ABC Episode 6, Game 11. The National College Championship with Mayim Bialik kicked off on February 8.

Fun Facts about Fiona Hellerman:

*She won the Maple School National Geography Bee in 2012. She is pictured receiving her winning medal with sixth-grade teacher Mary Norquist.

*She was in Maple School's choir and the annual musicals. She graduated from Maple in 2014, and Glenbrook South High School in 2018.

*Her former Willowbrook teachers Heidi Fletcher and now retired Sue Weingarten remember her fondly and contributed to this news brief.

*Ms. Hellerman's English Language Arts teacher Ann Angel encouraged her love of reading and curiosity. Ms. Angel is now a second-grade teacher at Willowbrook.

*Her younger brother is Declan Hellerman, and her family still lives across the street from Willowbrook School.
