PTO Hosts Successful Walk for Wescott Fundraiser!

Wescott School's PTO hosted its annual Walk for Wescott fundraiser on October 6. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year!

This event and place each year on International Walk to School Day. Over the past few weeks, students collected pledges for the Walk for Wescott. They participated in the Walk during physical education classes, where they fulfilled their pledges, and ultimately collected donations to be used for school projects. This year, the funds raised from pledges will go towards beautiful new murals for the Wescott hallways for everyone to enjoy! In addition to raising money for the PTO, every student is entered into a raffle for the chance to win some great prizes!

During the walk, PTO members acted as marshals and cheerleaders, as they stood around the perimeter of the course. After each class completed the walk, PTO Vice President of Fundraising, Lisa Fishbain handed out to each child a mini-pumpkin with a free admission pass to Nickel City. All students who submitted a donation will have the opportunity to win tickets to Northwestern Basketball, Chicago Wolves Hockey, and Chicago Fire Soccer tickets. Other prizes included being Principal for the Day, Pajama Day Parties, Birthday Parties, Air Pods, Extra Recess, and more. Chances to win these raffle prizes increased with every $25 collected. Raffle winners will be selected on October 8.
