2022 Fifth Grade Orientation
Thank you to everyone who attended the fifth grade parent night, both in-person and virtually. The presentation for the session is above, for your review. We also received a few questions from our virtual attendees, which we wanted to answer:
Question: Many students have camp on August 9th? Is there an evening option?
Answer: Students will have an opportunity before school and during their extended Advisory period on the first day of school to set up their lockers if they are unable to attend on August 9th or 10th. Advisory teachers will be sure to support students and get them situated during that first day of school.
Question: Will advisory teachers be a teacher my student has for math/reading/etc. or another teacher that he does not have?
Answer: We try to provide students with Advisory teachers who they have on their schedule, however in order to maintain smaller class sizes for Advisory, we do utilize creative arts, world language, P.E. and health teachers to lead Advisory classes. Some of those teachers may not be on your student's schedule.
Question: I think I heard that the library is open in the morning for students - what time?
Answer: The LMC opens for students at 8:05 am. Once it reaches capacity, we ask that students wait for the school day to begin in the cafetorium.
