Exploring AI In District 30
As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape our world, the educators in District 30 have collaboarated to explore the many ways AI can impact learning and craft a comprehensive approach to integrating AI in our schools. This summer, a curriculum review team developed a philosophy and best practice document to ensure that we harness AI's potential while maintaining our commitment to academic integrity and student growth.

- All AI tools must be district-approved to ensure quality and student privacy protection
- Staff will help students develop critical thinking skills about AI-generated content

Google Gemini | As part of our Google Workspace for Education license, there are elements of Google’s AI product integrated throughout apps on student and teacher iPads. |
Adobe Firefly | This AI image generation tool is part of District 30's Adobe Creative Cloud license. Teachers may need to request approval from the district when first logging in. |
Magic School AI | District 30 purchased a professional license for all teachers to use Magic School in the coming year. It is a robust set of tools that can help teachers with differentiation, communication and individualized learning. |
Diffit AI |
Diffit is an AI-powered tool that helps teachers create differentiated learning resources for students. It allows teachers to translate documents, change reading levels and create comprehension resources, among other capabilities. |
Canva | This tool has added several AI driven features to automate tasks and enhance their current functionality. Again, students and teachers can login with their District 30 Google credentials to access some features. |
