District 30 Superintendent Search
The Board of Education of Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 announces the commencement of a search for a new superintendent of schools to assume responsibilities beginning July 1, 2023. This vacancy results from the retirement of current Superintendent Dr. Brian Wegley, effective June 30, 2023.

The Board’s Primary Functions
The primary responsibility of our Board of Education is to hire and evaluate the performance of the superintendent in the pursuit of the District 30 Echo and its strategic plan. In addition, the Board sets the vision and goals (the ends and the what) for District 30 and monitors progress toward achieving these ends. All of the Board members are non-paid volunteers, elected to a 4-year term of office by voters in District 30.
The Board’s Selected Executive Search Firm
Due to the Board of Education’s desire to complete a comprehensive search for our next superintendent of schools, the Board has secured the services of BWP and Associates. BWP will develop a leadership profile for the next superintendent based on input from multiple stakeholder groups, recruit candidates and present a slate of qualified candidates to the Board in November of 2022. The Board will conduct a thorough interview process with the goal of announcing our next superintendent prior to Winter Break in December.
Survey Opportunity
The Board of Education invited our community to complete a survey, creating a leadership profile for the new superintendent search. The results of this survey can be reviewed here (pdf format)

In-Person Meeting Opportunity
The Executive Search Firm, BWP & Associates, also met in-person with parents and community members to provide input on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Information gathered from the survey and stakeholder groups will be used to generate a leadership profile that will be utilized in this important search.
