Mr. Keith Karchmar

Keith Karchmar and his wife Taryn have lived in Northbrook since 2007. His son and daughter currently attend Wescott.
Keith received his BA from Indiana University at Bloomington and his Masters of Science in Taxation (MST) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, School of Business. He is in private practice in which he specializes in life insurance with an emphasis on tax, estate, business succession and wealth transfer planning.
Keith has volunteered in both the private and public school system covering wide-ranging roles, from a school board member to a freshman football coach. He also volunteers as a little league baseball coach for Northbrook Action Baseball.
Keith is excited to join the Board of Education and work with the administration and the faculty to achieve the best results for the students and families they serve. Keith believes that with this exceptional collaboration in which everyone is engaged to improve the lives of every citizen in District 30…the end result will be that our students will reach outstanding levels of success in and out of the classroom.
Keith has completed all required training and will be up for reelection in April 2025, when his current term expires.
