K-5 Report Cards

Communicating with parents is one of the most important things we do as educators.  We recognize our responsibility to share information with you about your child’s social/emotional and academic progress.

District 30 students are encouraged to develop at a rate that is individually appropriate.  At the same time, however, teachers are guided in their instruction by established district and state grade-level expectations as outlined in the Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 curriculum.  Using these guidelines, student progress is evaluated in relation to standards.  Academic performance descriptors are marked Beginning (BGN). Approaching (APR), and Meeting, (MTG). Social Emotional descriptors are marked Seldom (SE), Sometimes (S), and Consistent (C). The role of the report card comments are to add a personal touch about each individual student.
