School Report Cards
The annual Illinois School Report Card for District 30 and each of the District schools is now available. This report card is published in compliance with the provisions of the Better Schools Accountability Law (Section 10-17a of the School Code). The information contained in the report card was collected by the Illinois State Board of Education, which also determines the format and content of the report card. The law requires Districts that maintain an Internet website to post their report cards online. The District and School Report Cards are posted online at illinoisreportcard.com.
The Illinois School Report Card contains a variety of information about District 30 and its three schools, including financial information, demographics, instructional information, and assessment data.
The assessment information is based on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing done during the previoius school year. This information represents a small fraction of the entire evaluation process for our students in regular and special education, and it is within this context that the results should be viewed. In addition to the IAR assessment, District 30 students take Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in September and April. Student progress is also monitored with routine curriculum-based measures and locally developed tests.
Should you have any questions regarding the report card or assessment information, please contact your building principal or any of our administrators in District 30. Printed copies of the school report card are available upon request. Please contact your school office or our Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Melissa Hirsch, at (847) 498-4190 if you wish to have a printed copy.
