Northbrook/Glenview School District 30's Preschool Screenings Set for 2021-22

Northbrook/Glenview School District 30's Preschool Screenings Set for 2021-22

Northbrook/Glenview School District 30's Preschool Screenings for the school year will take place on October 7, December 9, January 13, and March 17.

District 30's preschool screening process is designed to identify preschool-age children (3-5 years old) who may benefit from special education support prior to kindergarten. Five developmental areas are included in the screening: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem-solving, and personal-social.

These areas will be assessed after your child has passed a hearing and vision screening. The developmental screening takes about one hour to complete and is conducted by the school district’s speech-language pathologist, psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, and school nurse. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children throughout the screening.

To verify District 30 residency and/or to make an appointment for future screening, please call Tiffani Cuneo, secretary to the director of Student Services, at 847-400-8959. For more information about preschool screenings, please contact the District 30 Director of Student Services, Lauren Schulman at 847-498-4190.
