Character Counts Food Drive and Character Counts Week Take Place October 19-30 

The students of School District 34, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, St. Catherine Laboure School, and Northbrook-Glenview District 30 are coming together from October 19-30, in conjunction with Character Counts! Week (OCtober 19-23) to collect food items that will be donated to the Northfield Township Food Pantry. The community-wide goal is 10,000 food items.

Items of great need are cans of tuna, chicken, salmon, beef stew, pasta with meat (i.e. SpaghettiOs), and beans; soup; rice and pasta mixes; and shelf-stable potatoes. (Please check expiration dates.) Cash donations and or checks made out to Northfield Township Food Pantry are always welcomed and encouraged, $1 = 5 cans.

From October 19-23, District 30 will also be celebrating Character Counts! week! All Maple, Wescott, and Willowbrook School students are asked to represent the six character traits by dressing in the appropriate colors each day. Monday - Blue - Trustworthiness Tuesday - Red - Caring Wednesday - Purple - Citizenship Thursday - Orange & Yellow - Fairness & Respect Friday - Green - Responsibility
