Fertilizer and sealant applications for Summer 2026
District 30 is required to notify district families and employees before applying pesticides or specific sealant products. District 30 utilizes an asphalt-based, non-coal product for its annual sealcoating maintenance of parking lots and drives. Current plans for routine maintenance call for an asphalt sealcoat to be applied at Wescott School on the weekend of July 25-26, with a rain date of August 1-2.

In addition, Wescott’s south parking lot will be enhanced over the summer and sealcoated as part of this project, which is tentatively scheduled between July 27 and August 7.

Maple School will have fertilization done over the summer on the soccer field using a 14-20-4 fertilizer, an application of Lesco Micronutrient Elite SBN 100, and an application of a selective herbicide for broadleaf weed control, if needed.

For more information on the exact summer dates of the planned application, please refer to the District 30 website under District Notices. For questions, please contact District 30 Buildings and Grounds Coordinator Jason Borst at jborst@district30.org or 847-400-8964.
