Mrs. Lisa Netzly
Speech & Language Pathologist
- Kindergarten speech screenings will be conducted in the Fall for the primary purpose of articulation; however, if you would like a more in-depth language screening, this will be available per parent and/or teacher request.
- 2nd grade speech screenings will be conducted in the Winter for the primary purpose of articulation; however, if you would like a more in-depth language screening, this will be available per parent and/or teacher request.
- Students who are new to Willowbrook this year will be screened for speech and/or language concerns per parent and/or teacher request.
For all screenings, parents will be notified if their child does not pass the screening.
If the results of the screening indicate that your child would benefit from additional assessments and/or speech therapy support, you will be contacted by one of Willowbrook’s Speech-Language Pathologists. *Please note, there are some areas of articulation that may not be addressed until a child is older. If your child is one who we would like to re-screen at a later date, we will let you know via a letter.*
If you have any questions about the screenings or you have concerns about your child’s communication skills, please contact Lisa Netzly at (847) 400-8826 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Sandi Rabin at (847) 400-8827 or email@example.com.
District 30's preschool screenings are also held at Willowbrook School. These screenings, designed to identify preschool age children who may benefit from special education support prior to Kindergarten, are conducted throughout the school year. If you would like to schedule a screening for your preschool child, please contact Tiffani Cuneo at (847) 498-8959.
