Dr. Nate Carter will be honored as FSC's 2020 Heart of the Family Award Recipient on July 11

On July 11, during a livestream from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Family Service Center (FSC) will be honoring Maple School's beloved Dr. Nate Carter as this year's 2020 Heart of the Family Award Winner! (The celebration begins at 6:30 p.m.) Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the live fundraising Gala, originally scheduled in May, had to be revised as a virtual event.

The theme of the evening is "Unity Rocks! - A Virtual Event with Real Impact.” This annual fundraiser helps the organization support emotional and well-being in the community.

Dr. Carter retired on June 12, from the position of Maple School principal for the past 11 years, where he excelled as a leader and educator. He was also a Character Count's Co-Chair, and the district's Executive Director of the Lew Blond Run ALS fundraiser, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary on May 15, 2021. (Postponed due to COVID-19).

He will be recognized for his "outstanding contribution to the well-being of families, and for being a long-time and dedicated champion of mental health and wellness in our community,” said Renee Dominguez, FCS executive director. FSC will have an engaging Master of Ceremonies leading the event live, while honoring Dr. Carter as the 2020 Heart of the Family Award Winner. Attendees will also hear about the impacts that FSC is having in our communities, as well as some additional surprises.

To join this special celebration in honor of this event and Dr. Carter, you can register and/or donate to FSC, by clicking on this link to the website: https://app.mobilecause.com/e/YhUn6g?vid=9865a

General admission is free; Individual Tickets are $40, and Individual Premier Tickets are $100 and include a raffle ticket for a grand prize. For those who purchase the Individual Premier tickets, please sign up by June 27, to be guaranteed a “sweet treat!”
