Dear District 30 Family,
The safety and security of our students and staff is always our top priority and remains so during the emerging and rapidly changing situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). As informed, the Glenview-Northbrook Coronavirus Task Force decided that all Northfield Township School Districts, as well as Northbrook and Glenview Park Districts and Public Libraries, will close at the end of the day, Friday, March 13, and remain closed until at least March 30. Please note that District 30 will maintain the half-day schedule tomorrow to continue our e-Learning planning efforts.
District 30 staff will report to school on Monday, March 16, for an Institute Day. Remote learning will be provided to students beginning Tuesday, March 17 to Friday, March 20. We will also provide e-Learning on Monday, March 30. Pending Illinois State Board of Education approval for our e-Learning days, additional days will not be added to the end of the school year. Teachers will communicate individually or as teams to parents (K-2) and students (3-8) starting on Tuesday, March 17.
Please know this is our first time implementing such plans, so we ask for your patience and understanding. We will continue to refine and evolve our systems as we move forward. Technical support will be available for all students, staff, and parents.
We will continue to update and communicate our attendance plans for after March 30 over the upcoming weeks in conjunction with the Northfield Township schools. Please continue to monitor our school district website at http://www.district30.org/ for additional information.
Dr. Brian K. Wegley
Superintendent of Schools
