Openings Still Available for Preschool Screenings on March 12

There are several openings still available for the next set of Preschool Screenings, which will take place on Thursday, March 12 at Willowbrook School.

The preschool screening process is designed to identify preschool-age children (3-5 years old) who may benefit from special education support prior to kindergarten.

Five developmental areas are included in the screening: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem-solving, and personal-social. These areas will be assessed after your child has passed a hearing and vision screening.

The developmental screening takes about one hour to complete and is conducted by the school district’s speech-language pathologist, psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, and school nurse. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the screening.

To verify District 30 residency and/or to make an appointment for future screening, please call Tiffani Cuneo, secretary to the director of Student Services, at 847-400-8959.

For more information about preschool screenings, please contact the District 30 Director of Student Services, Lauren Schulman at 847-498-4190.
