Wescott PTO's International Event Features 13 Countries!

Wescott School PTO's Second International Event took place on February 28, drawing over 200 parents and children for an especially festive Friday evening. Principal Dr. Chris Brown and his son Aidan were there and enjoyed foods and games at the exhibits that were set up around the gymnasium.

"We were really excited because we had 13 countries from around the world showcasing their cultures with our families. There were many activities, special delicacies, and even a talent and fashion show.  A new addition this year, was fifth-grade teacher David Karnoscak hosting an international Skype class, where families had the opportunity to talk to students and teachers from around the world," said Wescott PTO's Vice President of Fundraising, Molly Chen.

During the talent show, student performers professionally showcased the art, music, and dances from Mongolia, China, Israel, and Pakistan.

“We are certain that those fond memories of the fashion show, walking on the red runner carpet while holding hands with friends and families will be cherished and last forever. We couldn't have accomplished all this without your help and support! On behalf of Wescott PTO and International Committee, we would like thank all of the volunteers for taking the time and making special efforts to make this happen!” said Wescott PTO Co-chairs for the International Night Committee, Aracely Rojas and Wei Zhang.

Wescott PTO Co-Presidents Norbert Barszczewski and Ankur Singal and many others were also involved in coordinating International Night activities and planning.
