Wescott PTO Partners with Cradles to Crayons' "Ready For School" Initiative

Wescott School PTO's Helping Hands Committee is a partner with the local Cradles to Crayons organization for their “Ready For School” initiative.

The Ready for School initiative runs through the end of September, and provides thousands of children with vital back-to-school items. Items include a backpack full of school supplies, properly-fitting clothing, books, shoes, and other critical items.

Their goal this year was to pack and distribute at least 50,000 backpacks, as well as 4,000 Uniform Packs, and thousands of KidPacks. The KidPacks include everyday essentials such as shoes, books, and clothing.

For the cost of just $10, individuals can provide a backpack filled with all the school supplies necessary for a child in need.

Sponsor one child or sponsor ten, the sky’s the limit! For every backpack sponsored, The Up Foundation will match the donation. The Up Foundation is a local family run Foundation with the mission to help children in need.
