Superintendent Dr. Brian K. Wegley Receives Heart of the Family Award

On May 20, Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Brian K. Wegley received the 2017 Heart of the Family Award, on behalf of the North Shore's Family Service Center.

On May 20, Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Brian K. Wegley received the 2017 Heart of the Family Award, on behalf of the North Shore's Family Service Center.

Dr. Wegley's son Rob spoke about all of his father's wonderful attributes, and very proudly introduced him at the Heart of Family Award Reception, where he was honored on May 20.

On behalf of the North Shore's Family Service Center, District 30's Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Brian K. Wegley received the 2017 Heart of the Family Award at its 2017 Annual Benefit, which was held on Saturday, May 20 at Pinstripes in Northbrook.

Dr. Wegley was honored "In recognition of his outstanding support and contribution to the well-being of families in the community," said Family Service Center representative, Therese Steinken.

During the benefit, Dr. Wegley's wife Kathy showed a slide presentation she had created depicting his outstanding life and career. Then his son Rob spoke about all of his father's wonderful attributes, and very proudly introduced him.

Dr. Wegley thanked his son with a big hug, and expressed appreciation to everyone for the special recognition, noting that he continues to be humbled by his family's love and the support of wonderful communities. He expressed deep appreciation to The Family Service Center and its representatives, for the special counsel and help they provide to youth in need.

The Family Service Center is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) mental health agency providing high quality therapeutic counseling to those seeking help for a wide range of emotional, behavioral, substance abuse, and relationship problems. FSC also provides crisis response and outreach services to the community. FSC's work is dependent on community support and local funding, as FSC does not receive federal or state funds.
