Last Preschool Screening of the School Year Will Be Held on March 8

February 14, 2018

Last Preschool Screening Date of the School Year is March 8

District 30's preschool screening process is held at Willowbrook School, and is designed to identify preschool age children (3-5 years old) who may benefit from special education support prior to kindergarten. Five developmental areas are included in the screening: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social.

The remaining preschool screening date for this school year takes place Thursday, March 8, 2018.

These areas will be assessed after your child has passed a hearing and vision screening. The developmental screening takes about one hour to complete and is conducted by the school district’s speech-language pathologist, psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, and school nurse. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the screening.

To verify District 30 residency and make an appointment for a screening, please call Mary Lynn Petty at 847-400-8964. For more information about preschool screenings, please contact Lauren Schulman, the District 30 Director of Student Services, at 847-498-4190.
