Preschool Screening Dates for 2018-2019 School Year

District 30's preschool screening process is held at Willowbrook School, and is designed to identify preschool age children (3-5 years old) who may benefit from special education support prior to kindergarten. Five developmental areas are included in the screening: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social.

Preschool Screenings will be held during the 2018-2019 school year on the following dates: October 4, 2018, November 15, 2018, January 24, 2019 and March 7, 2019.

These areas will be assessed after your child has passed a hearing and vision screening. The developmental screening takes about one hour to complete and is conducted by the school district’s speech-language pathologist, psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, and school nurse. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the screening.

To verify District 30 residency and make an appointment for a screening, please call the Student Services office at 847-400-8964. For more information about preschool screenings, please contact Lauren Schulman, the District 30 Director of Student Services, at 847-498-4190.
