District 30 Welcomes Quest Food Management Services, Inc. to Maple, Wescott, and Willowbrook Schools!

June 15, 2018

On June 14, District 30’s Board of Education approved Quest Food Management Services, Inc. to serve Maple, Wescott, and Willowbrook Schools, beginning in the fall of the 2018-2019 school year. The Board approved a three-year contract with Quest, which will be effective July 1, 2018.

The company brings 33 years of experience in serving fresh, high quality food to schools in and around Chicagoland. It is a locally owned and operated company serving schools such as Glenbrook North and South High Schools, Avoca District 37, Lincolnshire District 103, Park Ridge Community School District 64, Lake Forest High School, and New Trier High School.

The selection of a new food service began with the annual work of District 30’s Food Services Committee, which initiated a food services survey that was conducted by the administration in the fall of 2017. The results of the survey indicated that the school community was interested in taking the district's food services program in a new direction. Of greatest importance for improvement to families was food quality, choice, and price.

Superintendent Dr. Brian Wegley appointed a Food Services Sub-Committee, which evaluated proposals from three food services companies, and conducted site visits to schools where they were in operation. After careful consideration, the Food Services Sub-Committee made the formal recommendation to the Board of Education on June 14, to partner with Quest Management Food Services, Inc. beginning in the fall of 2018.

"I am confident that our new partnership with Quest will engage our students, staff, and parents to customize our food services program and meet our school community’s goals,” stated Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Dale Falk.

“District 30 truly appreciates everyone who has been involved in the food services selection process over the past year. They include Nancy Artz, Zivit Blonder, Chris Brown, Catherine Caporusso, Scott Carlson, Melissa Carr, Nate Carter, Betty Holzkopf, Joanna Kaplan, Dianne Larsen, Jen Marsh, Ihab Riad, Brittany Sidoti, Ilene Weil, and Tara Wesselink,” said Superintendent Dr. Brian Wegley.
