D30 5/29 Weekly Update

D30 5/29 Weekly Update

Dear District 30 Family,

I hope you are continuing to do well! In addition to touching base with the members of our family, this email is to share this week’s update from our Glenview/Northbrook COVID-19 Task ForcePlease note that the Northeast Region joins other regions in the State of Illinois in Phase 3 (Recovery) operations today. Also, please remember that it is incumbent upon us as a community as a whole -- and each of us as individuals -- to continue to do what’s necessary to keep ourselves and each other safe. I am continually thankful for the coordination and collaboration between our villages and leaders to help us navigate our current situation.

This week included the Virtual District 30 Family Dinner where we celebrated service awards, our Board, PTO Co-Presidents, and this year’s retirees including Dr. Nate Carter, Suzanne Grace, Peggy Martin, Jenny Moy, and Tia Stevens. Please join me in thanking our retirees for their service to District 30! Also, enjoy celebrating our graduating seniors with the Wescott Senior Walk Video and the Willowbrook Senior Walk Video, which were both sent out earlier today!

      • Our process for completing District 30’s Phased Operations Plan that aligns with the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan.
  • Please keep checking our Parent School Closure and e-Learning FAQ. We will keep it updated and will add answers to important questions that arise, as we all navigate our new, temporary normal.

Our primary goal is to maintain connections with our students in a concerted effort to continue a sense of normalcy. I am thankful for and proud of our entire District 30 Community. We wish you a wonderful weekend as we head into our last full week of school!

Warmly,

Dr. Brian K. Wegley
