Eighth-Graders Participate in Annual Career Day

Maple School’s PTO Career Day Committee welcomed eighth-grade students to the annual Career Day on Friday, February 28. In the morning, students participated in mock interviews with professionals from all areas of the workforce. In the afternoon, individuals spoke about their professions and the pathway that led them to where they are today.

Career Day organizers include math teacher Sarah Arends, PTO Committee members Anjali Rao and Shared Kansara, PTO Co-Presidents Sonia Rizki and Becky Fliegel, with librarian Amanda Crowley, assistant librarian Phoebe Cruz, and ELL teacher Connie Park.

District 30 administrators appreciate those who are spending valuable time with the students, and who are helping them to mold a future career.

Volunteers who presented in the afternoon included Thomas Yang, Wayne Beazely, Roop Nangia, Sandy Frum, Emily Szmuilowicz, Mehul Sheth, Shital Pandit, Amy Abrahams, Helena Osario, Jason Kaplan, Mark Schick, Tammy Yuen, Bonnie Solomon, Caryn Fliegler, Charles Zona, Len Seryedio, and Blake Zweig.
