Maple School Principals Welcome the Herd to a New School Year
On the first day of school, during the opening assembly, Maple School Principals Dr. Nate Carter and Ms. Betty Holzkopf welcomed 401 students and all staff members to the west gymnasium for the last time. Next year all assemblies will be taking place at the new Maple School's cafetorium!
There was a special welcome and applause for the new sixth grade students. This was followed by opening remarks from Dr. Carter
and Superintendent Dr. Brian Wegley.
The principals' message to teachers included the following: "Nurturing and maintaining a 'happy herd of Maple Mustangs' (school motto) is an important aspect of our work as educators. Positive relationships evolve and grow as interactions occur among and between teachers and students. Take time to really get to know one another and your students- and keep our 'herd' healthy and happy!" #d30learns
