Maple Yearbook Poetry Cover Contest

 From Yearbook teacher Michele Pollina:  "Maple's 2016-2017 yearbook theme for 2016-2017 is:  “We are all different.  We are all unique. We are Maple.”

She asks students to "Follow the criteria below and let your creative words flow."

Contest Criteria: 

  • Must be original
  • Any type of poem
  • Theme - writing must reflect one or more of the following questions:
  •         What makes Maple a special place?
  •         What does being part of the Maple community mean to me?
  •         What inspires me about being a student of Maple school?
  •         What do you find unique about the students at Maple?

All entries must include author’s name and grade.  Entries  should be sent to yearbook@district30.org, or submit in person to Mrs. Pollina in the main office.  Submissions will be accepted anytime through October 5, 2016. The winning piece will be chosen based on creativity, originality and use of theme. The winning poem will be read on Tuesday, October 11 during morning announcements.
