The vision of the Maple School All Abilities Playground Fundraising Committee with the Maple PTO is to create a fun and safe playground where middle school youth of all abilities can have social interaction in a space which promotes play, exercise, and learning, as they interact with one another. How It Worked
- During the months of December and January, students at Maple, Wescott, and Willowbrook Schools were given scratch cards.
- Students should wrote their name and teacher on the back of the card
- Students were able to invite family, friends, neighbors to scratch off circles to reveal a donation amount.
- Circles donation value ranged from $2-$7, but individuals could always donate more!
- Donations were then given by going to MaplePTO.org to fill out a form and make payment.
- Once all 20 circles on the card were scratched off and donations are made, the student returned the card to their school office and received a new one.
- All donations were automatically entered into a raffle.
Classroom Competitions
In addition to raffle tickets, students participated in a school-wide competition. This happened automatically when the Donation Form was filled out for the Scratch and Give game.
- The top two fundraising classrooms at Willowbrook and the top two fundraising classrooms at Wescott received extra recess time!
- The top two fundraising Advisories at Maple received a Pizza Party with the Principals!
- The online donation form requested information that helped calculate results.
Prior donations from this year were entered into the drawing and classroom competitions.
