Mr. Chuck Gitles
Board of Education President
Chuck Gitles was first elected to the District 30 School Board in 2005, elected for a second term in 2011 and a third term in 2015. A resident of Northbrook from 1978 until 1990, Chuck graduated from 872209 and Glenbrook North High School. Chuck holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. in finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. As a member of the Board of Education, Chuck serves on the following committees: Buildings and Grounds, Finance, Education, and Negotiations. He moved to Glenview in 2002, where he currently resides with his wife and three children who have benefitted from District 30.
Professionally, Chuck is a Senior Vice President in the Commercial Lending Department of the First Bank of Highland Park, where he is responsible for the banking needs of privately held businesses in the Chicagoland area. Prior to joining First Bank of Highland Park, Chuck spent 25 years as a commercial banking relationship manager, serving both middle market and Fortune 500 clients. He also spent time as a management consultant working on operations and policy projects for banks nationwide. Chuck is also a member of the Congregation Beth Shalom Men’s Club Board.
Chuck has completed all required trainings and will be up for reelection in April 2019, when his current term expires.
