Virtual Board Meetings Begin April 23

Virtual Board Meetings Begin April 23

In support of slowing the spread of COVID-19, Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order 2020-07 (extended by Executive Order 2020-18 through April 30) suspends the requirement for members of a public body to be physically present to hold a lawful meeting. The order encourages public bodies to provide video, audio, and/or telephonic assess to meetings to ensure members of the public may monitor the meeting. It also encourages bodies to notify their public of the method that will be used to stream the public meeting.

Until further notice, District 30 will hold our Board Meetings virtually and will audio stream our meetings over our YouTube channel. At 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the meeting, the Meeting Agenda will continue to be available via District 30’s BoardDocs platform. The agenda will also be accessible via a linked PDF document, and Public Comment will be available via a Google Form that will be easily accessed from the meeting’s streaming page. The Public Comment form will be available between 30-minutes prior to the meeting, and received comments will be read during that portion of our meeting.

Links to each meeting's audio stream will be available here during each meeting:

  • Thursday, May 14, 2020 (Public Comment Link will be live from 5:00 - 5:35 p.m. on May 14, and the meeting's audio stream will begin just prior to the 5:30 p.m. meeting on May 14. Our public attendees should refresh their screens after 5:25 p.m. on the night of the meeting to ensure they have access to the live stream.)
