Glenbrook North High School Incident Update

From Superintendent Dr. Brian Wegley and Maple Principal Dr. Nate Carter

Letter Sent to Staff and Parents on February 14:

We were advised by the Northbrook Police Department that they received an anonymous call of a potential threat outside the Glenbrook North High School building. In response, police have directed Glenbrook North’s administration to hold students and staff in their classrooms while they conduct a thorough inspection of the building and grounds. The police department advised Maple School to keep students in the building, and we complied with their request.

Glenbrook North has also advised us that their sweep of the grounds has been safely completed and that they will release students at their normal dismissal time. They will then sweep the inside of the building. Maple School will also release students at our normal dismissal time, and will provide any additional information we receive.

Safety is always our number one concern. We thank the Northbrook Police Department and Glenbrook North for their open communication and partnership.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nate Carter
Principal

Dr. Brian K. Wegley
